Manish Vaidya, Ph.D.

Dr. Vaidya's primary research interests are in the use of biosensor technology to create Smart games to facilitate recovery from disease or injury. The platform he's developing and investigating will allow remote monitoring of patient behavior to increase compliance with and maintenance of prescribed exercise regimens. The use of biosensors allows unprecedented precision in the measurement of molar and microscopic units of behavior. The behavior can be recorded and the technology can be used to provide real-time feedback to motivate patients to follow prescribed tasks and exercises.
